At the BSO in order to support our vision of creating the kind of business organisation that business owners are actually looking for we developed a series of resources that are completely free to use.

Some are are purely for members only, others are available for the general business community to use.  Some have dual uses, with sections for everyone and restricted sections that are reserved purely for members – not being cruel, but who do you think are paying for them?

The BSO App

Launched towards the end of 2019 our app was originally designed as a platform to deliver the BSO’s employee benefit scheme.  However by engaging with members (they have some great ideas) the App has developed into a resource that is like no other in our marketplace, becoming BSO in your pocket.

The members section is reserved as an exclusive benefit purely for members, their staff and close family, as this hosts the area for national and local deals and discounts, the members directory, links to opportunities, their membership card and the boring but essential BSO services sections.

The open to all area is still a great resource for non members, with local business news, articles, blogs, newsletters showcased as well as the full listing for both BSO events as well as events hosted by our members – why not create a little more exposure for our members, take it from us, it’s hard running events.

The more you deal with businesses, the more it amazes us how much information people have.  The majority are happy to share that information freely with others.  Not for personal gain, but because they care.  They want to share the information they have for the greater good, they want to educate.

Whilst the intention is there, unfortunately as most business owners are small, they do not have the reach, finances or skillset to get their message to the masses.

So we decided to do something about it.

The BSO blog section is not about us and our story – we turned it into a guest blog site for members.  They get a platform to share what they want (with a few rules of course), readers get access to some great content.  We get lots of copy, written from the heart.

It’s a win win as they say.
